Minister of Economy Meets with Delegation from the International Economic Lobby and the Lebanese-Chinese Business Council

An official meeting was held between the President of the International Economic Lobby and the President of the Lebanese-Chinese Business Council, Dr. Ali Al-Masri, and His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Trade of Lebanon, Mr. Amer Al-Bassat. Also present were the Secretary-General of the Lobby, Dr. Janou Haddad; the President of the Lobby Club in Dekwaneh, Mr. Joseph Charfan; the Secretary, Ms. Layal Bou Rjeily; and the Head of the Commercial Department, Dr. Rana Zeitouni.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and coordination between the International Economic Lobby, the Lebanese-Chinese Business Council, and the Ministry of Economy. This aims to solidify the partnership between the public and private sectors and serve the national economic interest.

The participants discussed practical mechanisms for activating cooperation in areas such as supporting import and export, protecting domestic production, facilitating investment initiatives, and organizing communication channels with foreign markets, particularly the Chinese market. This will open new horizons for Lebanese companies.

Both sides emphasized the importance of developing a joint action plan with clear implementation steps and holding regular follow-up meetings to ensure tangible results that positively impact economic activity and enhance investor confidence in the Lebanese economy.
