The head of the International Economic Lobby, Dr. Ali Al-Masry issued a statement on the 4th of August, in which he said:

Beirut will not die

Beirut is my city, my land and my homeland
Beirut is where I grew up, learned and grew up, and where I was born and raised

Beirut, destroyed over the years, then rose from under the rubble, and its echo reached the whole world, becoming the beacon of the Arab world.

Beirut, they agreed to destroy it again, inside and outside, in order to destroy it, displace its people, obliterate its features and civilization, and stop its growth and development, and all of that because it terrifies them.

Beirut, there are those who have build it , and there are those who have  destroyed it.

And here we are today, on the memorial of August 4, the fateful day when the port was bombed, in order to destroy Beirut and its people, and to return it to the Stone Age for various internal and external interests, and to obliterate its identity and eliminate its beauty, landmarks and role.

Today, after three years have passed, the perpetrator is still unknown and the perpetrator of the heinous crime is still not present. Only the victims, the martyrs, the affected and the wounded are the ones we know. Only we will remember them and commemorate them for life for the sake of building the nation, for the sake of achieving justice, for the sake of Lebanon, for the sake of Beirut and for you.
